About the NZ Fishing Competition

The NZ Fishing Competition is now in it's second year and you can feature on our leaderboards with your prize catches of our popular species. At the end of each year the best of the best catches for each species will appear in the NZ Fishing Competition permanent 'Hall of Fame' . You can compare your skills against everyone else's and as most anglers enjoy some friendly good natured rivalry, this is your chance to remind your mates that yours is bigger!

Fish are judged by length rather than weight and all you need to do is photograph your catch on one of our official measures, then upload the photos to this site. [click here for retailers stocking the NZ Fishing Competition measures].
